Is Snappy Kraken worth it?
Snappy Kraken is worth it for a financial advisor who will let its automated campaigns, texting and CRM sync run every month, and expensive for one who mainly wants social posts and a newsletter. Read off its pricing page on October 21, 2026, the cheapest plan is $199 a month on an annual term plus a $199 setup fee, which is $2,587 for the first year. LPL Financial advisors get 20 percent off. Its strength is automation built for advisors; its limit is that the content is written for everyone on the platform, not in your voice.
How much does Snappy Kraken cost?
Snappy Kraken costs $199 to $999 a month, every plan on an annual term, plus a one-time setup fee of $199 to $2,998. It sells three product lines: Campaigns (marketing automation), Websites, and Bundles of the two.
| Plan | Monthly | Setup | First year | Each year after |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Campaigns Foundations | $199 | $199 | $2,587 | $2,388 |
| Campaigns Grow | $299 | $499 | $4,087 | $3,588 |
| Freedom360 | $899 | $499 | $11,287 | $10,788 |
| Website Foundations | $99 | $499 | $1,687 | $1,188 |
| Website Grow | $199 | $2,499 | $4,887 | $2,388 |
| Grow Bundle | $449 | $2,998 | $8,386 | $5,388 |
The other two bundles are Foundations at $298 a month plus $698 setup ($4,274 in year one) and Freedom360 at $999 a month plus $2,998 setup ($14,986 in year one). Add-ons are an extra advisor workspace at $99 a month on Grow or $699 on Freedom360, admin seats at $99, and Convos texting at $99 a month on its own. There is no free plan and no free trial; every plan is sold through a booked demo.
What do you get on each Snappy Kraken plan?
The three Campaigns plans share the same engine and differ in content, volume and how much is done for you. From the comparison table on the pricing page:
- Foundations, $199. The basic content library, the AI email builder, branding automation, CRM integrations, birthday automations, timely updates and newsletters. Up to 10,000 contacts and 20,000 emails a month, email and phone support, and profile and campaign compliance review. One advisor only.
- Grow, $299. Adds the premium library with lead generation, prospect engagement, event, video, market update and partner campaigns, a DIY campaign builder, lead capture with auto-subscribe, website-triggered campaigns and Convos texting. Up to 50,000 contacts and 80,000 emails a month, with a 4 to 6 hour support response.
- Freedom360, $899. Everything in Grow, run for you: a done-for-you strategy and implementation, a quarterly business review and a dedicated success manager. Up to 100,000 contacts and unlimited email.
The websites follow the same split. Foundations is a basic template with up to 20 pages and one design revision. Grow gets a premium custom design, unlimited pages, three revisions, an hour of developer time a month, an auto-publishing blog that also posts to social, popups and gated content, and it removes the Snappy Kraken branding.
Does Snappy Kraken give a discount?
Yes, to LPL Financial advisors. Snappy Kraken is an approved LPL marketing partner, and its LPL page takes 20 percent off every product, setup fees included: Foundations drops to $159 a month plus $159 setup, Grow to $239 plus $399, and Freedom360 to $719 plus $399. That is $520 off the first year of Foundations and $2,260 off Freedom360. The discount does not appear on the main pricing page, so mention your broker-dealer when you book the demo, and ask whether yours has a similar arrangement.
The bundles carry a smaller, quieter discount. The Grow Bundle is $49 a month less than buying Campaigns Grow and Website Grow separately, and the Freedom360 Bundle is $99 less. The Foundations Bundle is the two products added together, and no bundle reduces the setup fee.
What do Snappy Kraken reviews say?
Independent reviews are thin. Most of what ranks for the brand is Snappy Kraken's own testimonial and comparison pages, plus directory listings that do not agree on what the product even is. The strongest outside data point is one Snappy Kraken quotes itself: it says advisors rated it first for satisfaction in digital marketing and websites in the 2025 Kitces Report on the technology independent advisors use. That survey is a fair signal that existing users are happy with the automation and the integrations.
What reviews do not settle is fit. The library and campaigns serve thousands of advisors, which is what makes them affordable and pre-reviewed, and also what makes them generic. If your prospects choose you for your view of the markets, a campaign written for everyone will not show it.
Snappy Kraken vs FMG Suite on price
FMG Suite is the platform Snappy Kraken compares itself with most. At the entry level FMG Suite is cheaper: Marketing Essential is $99 a month plus $199 setup, $1,387 in the first year against $2,587 for Snappy Kraken Foundations. But FMG Essential includes 1,000 email contacts and cannot add more, while Snappy Kraken Foundations includes 10,000. An advisor with 3,000 households has to move to FMG Marketing Premium at $269 a month ($3,427 in year one), at which point Snappy Kraken Foundations is the cheaper of the two by $840. At the top, the done-for-you tiers land within $48 of each other in year one. Our FMG Suite pricing article has every FMG plan.
Snappy Kraken pros and cons
- Pro: it runs without you. Birthday emails, quarterly updates, newsletters and nurture sequences send on schedule and sync with Redtail, Wealthbox and Salesforce.
- Pro: generous contact limits. 10,000 contacts on the cheapest plan is ten times FMG Suite's entry allowance.
- Pro: compliance review on every plan. Profile review, campaign review and broker-dealer configuration are included from Foundations up.
- Con: the annual term and setup fees. There is no way to try it for a month; the minimum first-year spend is $2,587 at list price.
- Con: Foundations is single-advisor. A two-advisor practice starts on Grow at $398 a month with the extra workspace, $5,275 in year one.
- Con: one inconsistent price. The a la carte strip lists advisor websites at $199 a month, while the Website Foundations card says $99. Get the price in writing.
Who should buy Snappy Kraken?
Buy it if you have a list of several thousand households, little time to write, and want automated email and texting that keeps you in front of clients between reviews, especially if you are with LPL and get the 20 percent. Skip it if you already write a quarterly letter, post market updates or host client webinars, and what you actually want is for that material to reach LinkedIn, Instagram and your clients' inboxes in the right shape. In that case most of the fee pays for a library you will not use. If Levitate is also on your shortlist, its plans are quote-only now, and our Levitate pricing article shows what it last charged in public.
A cheaper way to turn your own commentary into posts
Adapter.to writes posts and emails from your own material instead of a shared library. Paste your quarterly commentary, a blog post, a client letter or the link to a webinar and it returns a LinkedIn post, an Instagram caption, an X thread, a short video script, a client email and a newsletter section, each shaped for its channel. Creator is $49 a month, or $24 billed annually ($288 a year), with no setup fee and 30 sources a month; Pro at $99 takes webinars and recorded videos as the source. The Snappy Kraken alternative page compares the two feature by feature, and the LinkedIn post generator lets you try one channel first.
It is a writing tool, not a compliance or sending system. It does not review, archive, send or publish anything, so every draft goes through your firm's normal review: a registered principal approves static posts where FINRA Rule 2210 requires it, and your archiving vendor captures what goes out. The client email it drafts is sent from your own email platform, and the disclosures your firm requires at the bottom of every message are easiest to keep consistent with email signature software that sets one template for the whole firm. If you would rather hand the writing to a person, our content repurposing services pricing page shows what freelancers and agencies charge, and the pricing page lists every Adapter.to plan.
