Zoho Social alternative and competitors, compared for content teams
Zoho Social is a social media management suite, and for a single business posting one account per network it is the best value in this category by a wide margin. A permanent free plan covers six channels for nothing. Standard is $10 a month billed annually for twelve channels including TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads and Bluesky, which is roughly a third of what comparable coverage costs elsewhere. It publishes to 14 channels in total, including WhatsApp Business and Telegram Business that almost nothing else touches, and it wires natively into Zoho CRM and Zoho Desk from the Professional tier up.
People search for a Zoho Social alternative for two quite different reasons. The first group hit the brand model rather than the price. Zoho meters by brand and by seat, not by social profile, and a brand holds exactly one profile per network. Standard, Professional and Premium each include one brand and one or three seats, so a company with two Instagram accounts is buying a second brand. The second group has Zoho Social set up exactly right, with every brand configured and every queue running, and a calendar that keeps running dry. That is a production problem, not a scheduling problem, and no suite fixes it. That second half is what Adapter.to does. Paste a blog post, a YouTube video, a podcast or a URL and it writes the LinkedIn post, the X thread, the Instagram caption, the Facebook post and the email, each shaped for its channel, then hands you the text to load into Zoho Social or anywhere else.

The short answer
Zoho Social is a scheduling, monitoring and reporting suite, not a content writer. Read off zoho.com in August 2026, it costs $15 a month for Standard, $40 for Professional, $65 for Premium, $320 for Agency and $460 for Agency Plus, or $10, $30, $40, $230 and $330 billed annually. There is a permanent free plan for one brand and one seat, and a 15-day all-access trial with no card. It prices by brand and by seat rather than by profile: a brand holds one profile per network, and Standard, Professional and Premium each include exactly one. Two details decide real bills. The advertised 33 percent annual saving is exact on Standard only, while Professional saves 25 percent and Premium 38.5 percent. And Professional is hard capped at five add-on brands, so it tops out at six brands at any price. Nothing in Zoho Social turns a published article, video or podcast into a week of channel-native posts. Adapter.to does that upstream job from $29 a month and hands you the text to queue in Zoho Social.
Zoho Social is a publishing, monitoring and reporting suite priced per brand and per seat, where one brand means one profile per network across 14 channels. Adapter.to is a repurposing writer: it reads a blog post, video, podcast or URL and produces the native post for every channel, then stops at the text. Pick Zoho Social if the workload is scheduling, replying and reporting, especially if you already run Zoho CRM. Pick Adapter.to if the calendar is built and empty. Most teams run both.

What does Zoho Social actually do?
Zoho Social is a social media management suite: you connect accounts, write and schedule posts to a shared calendar, monitor mentions and keywords from a live dashboard, reply from an inbox, and report on what happened. It publishes to 14 channels, which is a wide list by any standard, and includes WhatsApp Business and Telegram Business that almost nothing else in this category touches.
Its organizing unit is the brand. A brand is one complete set of social channels, meaning one X profile, one Instagram profile, one Facebook page, one LinkedIn company page, one LinkedIn personal profile, one Google Business Profile, and so on. Everything in the product is scoped to a brand: the calendar, the inbox, the reports, the permissions. Agencies get 10 brands on Agency and 20 on Agency Plus, with client logins and a customizable portal on top.
The part that no rival can copy is the rest of Zoho. Professional and above wire social straight into Zoho CRM and Zoho Desk, so a social lead becomes a CRM contact and a complaint on X appears next to the support ticket. If your company already runs on Zoho, that integration is usually the whole argument, and it is a good one.
Why do people look for a Zoho Social alternative?
Two separate groups, with different problems.
The first group hit the brand model rather than the price. Standard, Professional and Premium each include exactly one brand, and a brand holds a maximum of one profile per network. A company with two Instagram accounts needs two brands, not one brand with an extra profile. Extra brands are $14.50 a month on Professional billed yearly and $19.50 on Premium, and Professional is hard capped at five add-on brands, so it tops out at six brands and no more at any price. People arrive expecting per-profile pricing and find a different shape.
The second group has Zoho Social configured exactly right. The brands are set up, the queues are running, the reports go out on schedule, and the calendar keeps running dry. That is a production problem, not a distribution problem, and no scheduler solves it. Zia will tidy a caption you have already written and suggest hashtags, on an allowance of 40 credits a month on the mid tiers. It will not turn last week's webinar into a LinkedIn post, an X thread, three Instagram captions and a newsletter section.
That second half is what Adapter.to does. Paste a blog post, a YouTube video, a podcast episode or any URL and it writes the native version for each channel, then hands you the text. You still schedule it in Zoho Social.
How much does Zoho Social cost?
Read off zoho.com in August 2026: Standard $15 a month, Professional $40, Premium $65, Agency $320 and Agency Plus $460 billed monthly. Billed annually those are $10, $30, $40, $230 and $330 a month. There is a permanent free plan covering one brand, six channels and one seat, and a 15-day all-access trial that needs no card.
Two things about that price list are worth knowing before you budget. The advertised "save 33%" on annual billing is exact on Standard only: Professional saves 25 percent, Premium 38.5 percent, and the Agency tiers 28 percent. Articles applying a flat 33 percent quote Professional at about $27 a month when it is really $30.
And Standard and Professional include identical capacity: one brand, twelve channels, one seat, 40 AI credits. The $20 a month between them buys features such as bulk scheduling, repeat posting, monitoring and RSS, not more room. The full arithmetic, including the add-on ladder and the point where Agency Plus overtakes Agency, is in our Zoho Social pricing breakdown.
Where Zoho Social genuinely beats the alternatives
Four things, stated plainly, because pretending otherwise would not help you choose.
The free plan is real and permanent. One brand, six channels, one seat, 5 AI credits, 24/5 email support, no expiry and no card. Sendible, SocialBee and Vista Social have no free tier at all. If you are a solo operator posting to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and Google Business Profile, Zoho Social costs nothing forever and does the job.
Standard is the best-value paid entry point in the category. Twelve channels including TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads and Bluesky, a full publishing calendar and a mobile app, for $10 a month billed annually. Nothing else here is close on price for that coverage.
The channel list is the widest we have compared. Fourteen channels, and WhatsApp Business plus Telegram Business from Premium up. If either of those is where your customers actually are, the choice is close to made for you.
The Zoho suite integration has no equivalent. Native Zoho CRM and Zoho Desk connections from Professional upward, plus the whole rest of the Zoho product line at prices nobody else matches. For a business already standardized on Zoho, this is a category of its own.
Zoho Social vs Adapter.to: which does which job
They are not substitutes, and the comparison table above is honest about that in both directions. Zoho Social has a red cross next to "turns a source into new posts" and Adapter.to has red crosses next to scheduling, the inbox, monitoring, analytics, CRM and the client portal. Neither list is short.
The way to decide is to name the bottleneck. If posts exist and getting them out on time across accounts is the work, you want a scheduler, and Zoho Social at $10 or $30 a month is an unusually good one. If the calendar is set up and empty, no scheduler fixes that, and a cheaper scheduler fixes it even less.
Most teams that hit the second problem keep the first tool. Write in Adapter.to, schedule in Zoho Social. A $29 writer plus a $10 scheduler is $39 a month and covers both jobs properly, which is less than Premium alone at $65 monthly and covers something Premium does not do at all.
What Adapter.to does with one source
You give it something you already published: a blog post, a YouTube video, a podcast episode, a newsletter or a URL. It reads it and writes the channel-native versions. A LinkedIn post with the hook at the top and line breaks that survive the see-more cut. An X thread that breaks at the right places inside 280 characters a post. Instagram captions that front-load the first 125 characters. A Facebook post, a YouTube description, an email section.
The point is not that it produces text. It is that each one is shaped for where it lands, because a LinkedIn post pasted to X reads like a LinkedIn post pasted to X. That reshaping is the slow part of repurposing when a person does it, and it is what a scheduler leaves entirely to you.
You then copy the output into Zoho Social's composer, or into whatever else you schedule with. Adapter.to stops at the text on purpose, which is why it sits alongside a suite rather than competing with one. The content repurposing software page covers what it produces per channel.
Which tool for which team
Solo operator, five accounts, low volume. Zoho Social free, or Standard at $10 if you want TikTok and the calendar. Add a writer when the posting cadence starts slipping, not before.
One business, one account per network, a real content habit. Zoho Social Standard or Professional plus Adapter.to. This is the pairing that works for most in-house marketing teams of one to three people.
Business with several brands or several accounts per network. Check the brand arithmetic first, because this is where Zoho gets expensive relative to per-profile tools. Compare against SocialBee, which sells profiles rather than brands, and Sendible, whose workspaces include unlimited users.
Agency with ten or more clients. Zoho Social Agency at $230 a month annually is strong value for 10 brands with client logins and branded reports. The content for those ten clients is the actual cost centre, and that is the part to automate.
Why creators pick Adapter.to
One tool that adapts any source to every channel
Fills the calendar, not just the queue
Zoho Social distributes what you already wrote. Adapter.to writes what goes in, from a blog post, video or podcast you already made.
Zoho Social is good value, so add rather than replace
A permanent free plan, twelve channels for $10 and native Zoho CRM are hard to beat. Adapter.to does a different job upstream, so most teams run both.
One flat price, no brands to count
Adapter.to is not metered per brand or per seat, so adding a second Instagram account does not change the bill.
