Kontentino alternative and Kontentino competitors priced for agencies in 2026

Kontentino is a social media planning and approval tool built for agencies and in-house teams, made in Slovakia and used mostly in Europe. Its strength is the approval loop: a client opens a link, sees the post exactly as it will look, and approves or comments without creating an account. Read off kontentino.com on October 2, 2026, Starter costs $83 a month, Standard $179 and Pro $323 on monthly billing, or $59, $131 and $239 a month billed annually.

People look for a Kontentino alternative for one of two reasons. Either the bill grew faster than the agency, because Kontentino prices by user and your clients count as users, or the approval flow works and the real bottleneck is writing enough posts to send through it. The first is a pricing question, and the tables below answer it with every rung of the user ladder. The second is what Adapter.to fixes. Paste a blog post, a YouTube video, a podcast episode or a URL and it writes the LinkedIn post, the Instagram captions, the X thread and the TikTok script from it, ready to drop into Kontentino or any other calendar for approval.

The short answer

Kontentino is a social media planning and approval tool priced by user, and every role counts as a user, including clients who only approve posts. Read off kontentino.com on October 2, 2026, Starter costs $83 a month for 3 users and 10 profiles ($119 for 5 users), Standard $179 for 10 users and 40 profiles, and Pro $323 for 10 users and unlimited profiles, or $59, $131 and $239 a month billed annually. Client approval starts on Standard, so an agency that needs clients to sign off pays at least $131 a month. Each extra five users costs $90 a month on Standard and $160 on Pro. Payments are non-refundable. Adapter.to writes the posts that go into the approval calendar, from $49 a month.

Agency marketer checking a client content calendar before sending posts for approval

Kontentino is a planner and approval workflow: it holds the calendar, sends posts to clients for sign-off, and publishes them to nine networks. Adapter.to is a repurposing writer: it reads a finished blog post, video, podcast or URL and produces new channel-native copy. Kontentino decides who approves a post and when it goes out, Adapter.to writes what the post says. An agency with a fast approval loop and an empty calendar has solved the wrong half of the problem.

What does Kontentino actually do?

Kontentino is a content calendar with an approval workflow wrapped around it. You draft posts in a calendar, list, Kanban or Instagram grid view, attach media, tag teammates with tasks and internal notes, and send the post to a client. The client gets an invitation, sees a live preview of the post on the network it is going to, and approves, rejects or comments. Approved posts publish automatically to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Google Business Profile, Pinterest, Threads and YouTube Shorts. There is a mobile app for approving on the go, an AI assistant for captions, hashtags, translation and images, and a Global Content Manager for brands that roll one campaign out to several countries with local approval in each.

What it does not do is take the webinar you ran last week, or the article your client published yesterday, and turn it into the twelve posts the calendar needs. Its AI writes captions one post at a time from a prompt or a link. The approval loop can be immaculate and still have nothing in it on Monday morning.

How much does Kontentino cost?

We read kontentino.com/pricing on October 2, 2026, and cross-checked every figure against the user-by-user price table in the page's own code. Prices below are the US dollar list prices. Every plan has a 14-day free trial with no card required, and there is no permanent free plan.

  • Starter, $83 a month or $59 billed annually, for 3 users. 10 social profiles, 100 AI credits a month, calendar, list and post-idea views, internal approval only, mobile app. A 5-user version costs $119 a month or $95 annually, and 5 is the ceiling.
  • Standard, $179 a month or $131 billed annually, for 10 users. 40 social profiles, 1,000 AI credits, client and external approvals, Brand Hub and AI brand voice, Kanban and Instagram grid views, bulk actions, post versions and tasks. Users go up in steps of 5, to 30.
  • Pro, $323 a month or $239 billed annually, for 10 users. Unlimited profiles and AI credits, with analytics, competitor benchmarking and the Global Content Manager included, plus a dedicated account manager and a 3-hour guided onboarding.
  • Enterprise, quoted. Custom seats, SSO, bespoke security and SLAs.
  • Add-ons. Analytics for Starter and Standard is listed only in euros, from €54 to €60 a month. The Global Content Manager starts at €100 a month, and extra onboarding is €100 an hour.

Kontentino price per user, from 3 to 30 seats

This is the table most comparison pages skip, and it is the one that decides an agency's bill. Kontentino sells users in fixed steps, and its own FAQ is explicit: "every role counts towards your final user count", clients included. A client does not need to register to approve, but they still take a seat.

UsersStarterStandardPro
3$83 ($59 annual)Not soldNot sold
5$119 ($95)Not soldNot sold
10Not sold$179 ($131)$323 ($239)
15Not sold$269 ($201)$483 ($359)
20Not sold$359 ($271)$643 ($479)
25Not sold$449 ($341)$803 ($599)
30Not sold$539 ($411)$963 ($719)

Each step of five users adds $90 a month on Standard ($70 billed annually), or $18 a user. On Pro it adds $160 ($120 annually), or $32 a user. The annual badge says "Save 25%", but the arithmetic gives 28.9 percent on 3-user Starter, 26.8 percent on 10-user Standard, 24.1 percent at 25 users and only 20.2 percent on 5-user Starter. The more seats you buy on Standard, the smaller the discount gets.

Kontentino changed its plans in spring 2026

The Internet Archive copy of kontentino.com/pricing from February 27, 2026 shows a different lineup. Starter was $83 a month with 100 posts and 3 users, a separate Starter+ plan cost $119 with 200 posts and 5 users, Standard was $180 a month or $140 billed annually with unlimited posts and 10 to 30 users, and the top tier was a quoted Unlimited plan. By the snapshot of May 16, 2026, the current lineup was live: Starter+ folded into Starter as a 5-user option, Standard dropped to $131 billed annually, and a published Pro plan replaced the quoted top tier. It is unchanged today.

So if a roundup names Starter+ or prices Standard at $140 a month annually, it is describing plans Kontentino no longer sells.

Where Kontentino genuinely beats the alternatives

A comparison that only lists faults helps nobody choose. Kontentino wins outright in three places.

  • Client approval without friction. The client opens an invitation and sees the post as it will appear, with no account to create and no dashboard to learn. For agencies whose clients never log into anything, that is the feature.
  • Multi-market brands. The Global Content Manager pushes one master post to local teams, each with its own approval flow, and compares versions side by side. Few tools in this price range do per-market approval at all.
  • Price against Sendible at mid size. Ten clients with four accounts each and thirteen people who need access cost $269 a month on Kontentino Standard against $274 on Sendible, and both include client approval.

What is the best Kontentino alternative?

It depends on what made you look. Here is the shortlist, with prices read off each vendor's own site in 2026.

  • Your user count keeps climbing because of clients. Sendible includes unlimited users on every plan, approvals from Plus at $99 a month, and prices by client workspace instead of by person. Planable also includes unlimited users, at $39 or $59 a workspace.
  • You are one brand with a small team. Loomly Starter is $65 a month for 12 accounts and 3 users with approval workflows, against $83 for Kontentino Starter, which only approves internally.
  • You need approvals on a tight budget. Cloud Campaign includes approval workflows on every plan, from $49 a month. Our social media management software for agencies page costs the whole category for a ten-client agency.
  • Approvals are fine and the calendar keeps running empty. Adapter.to turns one blog post, video, podcast or URL into LinkedIn posts, Instagram captions, X threads, TikTok scripts and a newsletter section, which you drop into Kontentino for sign-off.

Kontentino vs Sendible, Planable and Loomly on price

Three workloads, monthly list prices read off each vendor's own pricing page.

One brand, two marketers and a manager who approves. Kontentino Starter $83 for 3 users and 10 profiles, with internal approval. Loomly Starter $65 for 12 accounts and 3 users. Planable Basic $39 for one workspace with unlimited users. Sendible Core $35, with unlimited users but approvals only from Plus at $99. Kontentino is the dearest option here.

Agency with ten clients, four accounts each, three staff and one approver per client. Thirteen users means buying the 15-user step: Kontentino Standard $269. Sendible Premium plus three workspaces $274. Cloud Campaign Team plus five workspaces $344. Planable Basic at ten workspaces $390. Kontentino is competitive, as long as each client has one approver.

The same agency at eight accounts per client. Eighty profiles is past Standard's 40, so Kontentino moves to Pro at $483 for 15 users. Sendible Elite plus five workspaces is $399 and Cloud Campaign stays at $344. Large clients push Kontentino from cheapest to dearest.

Why a fast approval loop still runs out of posts

Approval tools shorten the slowest step agencies used to have, the email chain. They do nothing for the step that now takes longest, which is writing. A client posting four times a week on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook needs around fifty posts a month, each shaped for its network, and most clients already have the raw material in a blog, a podcast or a webinar recording nobody has cut up.

Put a number on it. Turning one article into a LinkedIn post, three Instagram captions, an X thread and a newsletter section takes about two hours by hand. Ten clients with two sources each is forty hours a month, far more than the $199 Team plan costs at any realistic US agency rate. That is why our side of the table carries neutral crosses on five rows: Kontentino owns approval and publishing, and Adapter.to owns the writing that feeds them.

Can you use Kontentino and Adapter.to together?

Yes, and if client approval is why you chose Kontentino, that is the sensible setup. Once a week, paste each client's newest article, episode or video into Adapter.to, copy the posts it writes into Kontentino as drafts, and send them for approval as usual. Nothing needs integrating, because Adapter.to returns plain text.

The agency workflow is set out on our content repurposing for agencies page. Agencies writing for B2B clients usually start with the LinkedIn post generator, writers with repurpose blog posts, and anyone starting from a published page with URL to social media posts. Verified pricing for every tool in the category is on the content repurposing tools comparison, and the full Sendible breakdown is in our Sendible pricing article.

Why creators pick Adapter.to

One tool that adapts any source to every channel

Posts for the calendar you send for approval

Kontentino collects the sign-off. Adapter.to turns a finished blog post, video, podcast or URL into the posts that go through it.

Keep Kontentino if approval is the job

Client approval without registration, per-market approval on Pro and nine networks make it a strong pick for agencies whose clients never log in.

Switch when clients fill your seats

Every approver is a user. Sendible and Planable include unlimited users, so agencies with many approvers usually pay less there.

Good questions

Kontentino vs Adapter.to, answered

For agencies with many client approvers, Sendible or Planable, because both include unlimited users where Kontentino charges for every seat. For a single brand, Loomly Starter at $65 a month. For filling the calendar rather than approving it, Adapter.to, which writes the posts from content you already have.
Read off kontentino.com on October 2, 2026: Starter is $83 a month for 3 users ($119 for 5), Standard $179 for 10 users and Pro $323 for 10 users. Billed annually they are $59, $95, $131 and $239 a month. Standard and Pro add users in steps of five, up to 30.
Yes. Kontentino's pricing FAQ says every role counts towards your final user count. Clients do not have to register to approve, since an invitation is enough, but each one still takes a seat. An agency with three staff and ten client approvers needs the 15-user step of Standard, $269 a month.
No. Kontentino offers a 14-day free trial with access to all features and no credit card. After that the cheapest option is Starter at $83 a month, or $59 a month billed annually, for 3 users and 10 social profiles.
Yes, for agencies whose bottleneck is client sign-off. Client approval through an invitation, live post previews and a mobile approval app are its strengths. It gets expensive when clients have many approvers, because each one is a user, or many accounts, because Standard stops at 40 profiles.
No. Kontentino's pricing page states that all payments are non-refundable, with no partial or full refunds for early termination, downgrades or discontinued use. Use the 14-day trial fully before choosing annual billing.
It is if what you are missing is posts, not approvals. Kontentino plans, approves and publishes. Adapter.to writes LinkedIn posts, Instagram captions, X threads and TikTok scripts from a blog post, video, podcast or URL you already have, from $49 a month. Most agencies keep Kontentino for sign-off and add Adapter.to to fill it.
No. Adapter.to writes the content and returns finished text; it does not connect social accounts, run approvals or publish. You paste its output into Kontentino or any other scheduler, which is why the two pair rather than compete.
