Social Champ alternative with Social Champ pricing and cheaper schedulers compared

Social Champ is a social media scheduler for small teams and agencies: you connect up to 12 networks, queue posts, answer comments in one inbox and pull reports. It sells two pricing models side by side, a bundled plan from $29 a month and pay per profile from $5 an account, which makes it one of the cheaper ways to give two people access to six accounts.

What it does not do is write the posts from the work you already publish. Its AI Content Wizard drafts from a prompt, 100 times a month on Standard. Adapter.to is software that writes from your source: paste a blog post or a URL and it returns the LinkedIn post, Instagram caption, X thread, TikTok script and more from what the piece actually says. It does not schedule, so the comparison below shows where Social Champ is the better buy too.

The short answer

Social Champ costs $29 a month for 6 accounts and 2 users (Standard), $59 for 12 accounts and 5 users (Professional) and $149 for 30 accounts with unlimited users (Agency), read off its pricing page on October 8, 2026. Billed yearly that is $23.20, $47.20 and $119.20, exactly 20% off. It also sells accounts one at a time from $5 each, has a free plan for 3 accounts and 15 scheduled posts, and charges extra for X. The cheapest alternatives on price are Buffer for one user and SocialBee for a two-person team; if your problem is writing the posts, Adapter.to turns each blog post or video into posts for 8 channels from $49 a month.

Agency account manager reviewing client social posts with a colleague before scheduling them

Social Champ sells the publishing half of social media: queue, inbox, analytics and listening at a low price per account. Adapter.to sells the writing half to people who already have something to say: each article, video or episode becomes channel-native posts in minutes, 30 sources a month on the $49 plan. Most teams that leave Social Champ for a lack of content need the second tool, not a different first one.

How much does Social Champ cost in 2026?

We read the prices off socialchamp.com/pricing and its machine-readable pricing file on October 8, 2026. All prices are in USD. Social Champ shows two models behind a toggle, and most reviews quote only one of them.

Bundled planMonthlyBilled yearlyAccountsUsersExtra account
Standard$29$23.20 a month62$5
Professional$59$47.20 a month125, then $8 each$4
Agency$149$119.20 a month30Unlimited$3
EnterpriseQuotedQuotedCustomUnlimitedCustom

The second model is pay per profile. Starter charges $5 an account a month for your first ten accounts ($4 billed yearly), with one user and one workspace. Growth charges $9 an account for the first ten ($8 yearly) and adds unlimited users, approvals, client management, listening and competitor analysis. Both get cheaper per account past ten. The free plan covers 3 accounts, 15 scheduled posts and 1 user, and leaves out X, Pinterest and WhatsApp Business. Paid plans start with a 14-day trial and no card.

Pay per profile or bundled, which is cheaper?

For most small setups the bundled plans win. Six accounts on Starter cost $30 a month for one user; Standard is $29 for the same six accounts and two users. Ten accounts on Starter are $50; Standard plus four extra accounts is $49, still with two users. Starter only makes sense below six accounts.

Growth is the odd one. At $9 an account it is the expensive way to buy accounts, but it includes unlimited users. Three accounts shared by four people cost $27 on Growth against $59 for Professional, so a small team on very few accounts should look at it. From about seven accounts up, Professional is cheaper and still gives five logins.

Three places where Social Champ's own numbers disagree

Read the page and the pricing file side by side and three things do not match. None of them changes what you pay, but they explain why roundups quote different figures.

  • The yearly discount. The plan cards show $23.20, $47.20 and $119.20 a month billed yearly, exactly 20% off, and say you save $69.60, $141.60 and $357.60 a year. The pricing file rounds those to $23, $47 and $119, claims savings of $72, $144 and $360, and describes the discount as "3 months free", which would be 25%. The cards are right.
  • Professional workspaces. The plan card gives Professional 3 workspaces. The pricing file says unlimited. Ask before you buy if you plan one workspace per client.
  • The skip-trial offer. Each card carries "Skip trial, get 25% off" on monthly billing and 30% on yearly, marked with an asterisk the page never explains. Treat it as a first-payment promotion until the checkout shows otherwise.

Social Champ vs Buffer vs SocialBee

These are the three schedulers small teams most often compare, and the cheapest one changes with headcount. Monthly billing, each read off the vendor's own page in October 2026.

10 accounts, 2 users$49 (Standard plus 4 accounts)$120 (Team)$59 (10 profiles plus a $10 seat)
30 accounts, unlimited users$149 (Agency)$195 (Team)Agency plans from $179
X includedNo, paid add-onYesYes

Social Champ is the cheapest of the three in every row, and the gap is largest for a small team. Buffer costs more but includes X at the normal rate and has the best free plan, as our Buffer review explains. SocialBee sits in between and is the only one built around evergreen content categories; its add-ons are worked through in the SocialBee review.

What is the best Social Champ alternative?

It depends on why you are leaving.

  • You need X without an add-on, or a better free plan. Buffer includes X at $6 a channel ($5 billed yearly) and its free plan keeps 10 posts queued on each of 3 channels.
  • You run an agency past 30 accounts. SocialPilot charges a flat $4 per extra account on every tier and puts approvals and white-label reports on its $100 plan. The social media management software for agencies comparison prices ten real client setups.
  • You want the cheapest possible queue. Our cheapest social media scheduler comparison prices the low end account by account.
  • The queue is empty because nobody writes. Keep any scheduler and add Adapter.to. The $49 Creator plan turns 30 blog posts or URLs a month into posts for 8 channels; Pro at $99 adds video and podcast inputs.

Is Social Champ good?

For the price, yes. It is rated about 4.4 out of 5 on G2 and 4.5 on Capterra, with reviewers praising the interface, the free tier and how quickly it sets up. The recurring complaints are scheduled posts that occasionally fail to publish and X being left out of the free plan and trial, which stopped some reviewers from testing it properly.

Our view: it is one of the best-value schedulers for two to five people on six to thirty accounts. Test X and your Instagram account types during the 14-day trial before you commit to a year.

Where Social Champ is the better choice

If you already have posts written and need them queued, answered and reported on, Social Champ does that and Adapter.to does not. It publishes to 12 networks, has a social inbox on every paid plan, includes listening on Agency, and gives two users access for $29. Agencies that bill clients for reporting will also want its white-label reports on Agency.

Where writing from your own content wins

A scheduler only publishes what exists. If your team writes one strong article or records one video a week and the queue is still empty by Thursday, the bottleneck is turning that piece into eight posts, not the posting. A prompt-based AI writer starts from nothing each time. Adapter.to starts from your article, so the examples, numbers and opinions in the posts are yours.

It is also cheap per piece. One 1,500 word blog post becomes a LinkedIn post, an Instagram caption, an X thread, a TikTok script, a newsletter section, an email and a YouTube description in one run, at about $1.63 a source on the Creator plan. Paste the results into Social Champ and schedule them as usual. The blog to social media page shows a full run.

Good questions

Social Champ vs Adapter.to, answered

For another scheduler, Buffer if you want X included and a strong free plan, SocialBee for evergreen content categories, or SocialPilot for agencies past 30 accounts. If the real problem is writing posts, Adapter.to turns each blog post or video into posts for 8 channels from $49 a month, and you keep scheduling in any tool.
Bundled plans are $29 a month for 6 accounts and 2 users, $59 for 12 accounts and 5 users, and $149 for 30 accounts with unlimited users, or $23.20, $47.20 and $119.20 a month billed yearly. Pay per profile starts at $5 an account a month. There is a free plan for 3 accounts and 15 scheduled posts.
Yes. The free plan covers 3 social accounts, 15 scheduled posts and 1 user, on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profile, Mastodon, Threads and Bluesky. X, Pinterest and WhatsApp Business need a paid plan. Paid plans start with a 14-day trial and no card.
Yes, in most setups. Five accounts for one user cost $25 on Social Champ against $30 on Buffer, and ten accounts for two users cost $49 against $120 on Buffer Team. Buffer includes X at its normal rate, while Social Champ sells X as a paid add-on.
Yes. Plans are month to month or year to year, and you can cancel, upgrade or downgrade from the dashboard. After cancelling you keep paid features until the end of the current billing period.
It replaces the writing, not the scheduling. Adapter.to turns each blog post, URL, video or podcast into channel-native posts for 8 formats, 30 sources a month for $49. It does not publish, so most teams use it alongside Social Champ or another scheduler.
