SocialPilot alternative: social pilot alternatives and competitors, priced per account

SocialPilot is a social media scheduler priced for volume, and it is one of the better deals in its category once you get past the entry plan. Read off socialpilot.co in September 2026, it costs $30, $50, $100 and $200 a month for 7, 15, 25 and 50 connected social accounts, with extra accounts at $4 each on every tier and a 14-day trial that asks for no credit card. Client approval that works from an email link, white label reports and bulk scheduling all sit on the $100 Premium plan.

People look for a SocialPilot alternative for one of three reasons. Their clients are large, so a per-account meter keeps climbing while workspace-priced tools stay flat. They are one person on Essentials, which turns out to be the worst per-account rate SocialPilot sells and has no way to add a second login. Or the scheduler is set up perfectly and the queue keeps running dry, because SocialPilot publishes posts and does not write them from the webinar, blog post or podcast you already made. This page covers all three, with the real numbers.

The short answer

SocialPilot is a scheduler, approval and reporting tool, not a content writer. Read off socialpilot.co in September 2026, it costs $30, $50, $100 and $200 a month (or $25.50 to $170 billed yearly, an exact 15 percent off) for 7, 15, 25 and 50 accounts, plus $4 per extra account. The best SocialPilot alternative depends on why you are leaving: Sendible or Cloud Campaign if your clients each run more than about eight accounts, Publer or Buffer if you need a free tier, and Adapter.to if the scheduler is fine and what you lack is the posts themselves.

SocialPilot is a per-account scheduler with client approvals and white label reports from $100, the best per-account value in its category on the $50 Standard plan, and no way to turn a finished piece of content into the posts that fill those accounts.

What does SocialPilot actually do?

SocialPilot is a publishing and client-management layer. You connect social accounts, group them by client, compose a post once, adjust it per network, and publish it now, on a queue or on a calendar slot. Bulk scheduling through CSV upload and repeat posts are on every plan. The social inbox and analytics arrive on Standard, and client approval, white label reports and advanced analytics arrive on Premium.

The client side is where it is genuinely good. A client can approve or reject a post from an emailed link without creating an account or remembering a password, which removes the single most common reason approval workflows stop being used. Premium and Ultimate also carry unlimited client seats. For an agency whose clients mostly want to say yes or no to a post, that is a better design than handing each client a full login.

Its AI credits sit inside the composer. They draft or rewrite the caption you are working on. What SocialPilot does not do at any price is read a finished webinar, blog post, YouTube video or podcast episode and produce the LinkedIn post, the X thread, the Instagram caption and the newsletter section from it. It assumes the posts already exist.

How much does SocialPilot cost?

We read socialpilot.co/plans again on September 26, 2026, and nothing had moved since our full SocialPilot pricing breakdown on September 6. Billed monthly it is $30 Essentials, $50 Standard, $100 Premium and $200 Ultimate. Billed yearly it is $25.50, $42.50, $85 and $170 a month, which is an exact 15 percent on all four plans. Enterprise is quoted and adds API access and single sign-on.

Divide each plan by its accounts and the ladder does something odd. Essentials works out to $4.29 an account, Standard to $3.33, Premium and Ultimate to exactly $4.00. The best value is on the second rung, not the top one, and the cheapest plan is the most expensive per account. Above 25 accounts the add-on rate and the plan rate are identical, so Premium plus 25 add-ons costs $200 for 50 accounts, which is Ultimate to the cent.

Where SocialPilot genuinely beats the alternatives

A comparison that only lists faults helps nobody choose. SocialPilot wins outright in four places, and if these are the things you need, staying is the right call.

  • Many small client accounts. At $4 an account with no client cap, ten clients with four accounts each cost $160 a month on Premium plus add-ons. Sendible is $274 for the same roster and Cloud Campaign $344. Nothing we have priced runs a wide, shallow roster for less.
  • Clients who will not log in. Link-based approval with no client account is the cleanest version of this in the category. Sendible and Cloud Campaign give clients a real login instead, which suits engaged clients and loses absent ones.
  • An honest annual discount. "Save 15%" is exactly 15.0 percent on every plan. Most vendors we audit miss their own badge on at least one tier.
  • A strong middle plan. Standard at $50 gives 15 accounts, 3 users, the inbox, analytics and manager approval at $3.33 an account, the best per-account rate SocialPilot sells.

Why do people look for a SocialPilot alternative?

Three reasons come up again and again, and they point at completely different products, so work out which one is yours before you shop.

The first is large clients. A per-account meter punishes a client with a Facebook page, two Instagram profiles, a LinkedIn page, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Google Business Profile. At eight accounts per client, ten clients cost $320 a month on SocialPilot (Ultimate plus 30 add-ons) and still climb $4 with every account you add. Sendible's Elite tier is a flat $299 for 90 profiles, and Cloud Campaign's Team plan is $344 for ten clients with unlimited accounts inside each client workspace. The crossover is about seven and a half accounts per client against Sendible and about eight and a half against Cloud Campaign.

The second is the solo buyer on Essentials. It is the worst per-account rate SocialPilot sells and the only tier with no user add-on, so the day a partner, a VA or a client needs a login you jump to $50, a 67 percent increase for one seat.

The third is the one no scheduler fixes. The calendar is configured, the approvals work, fifty accounts are connected, and the queue is thin because nobody has time to turn last week's webinar into twenty channel-specific posts. That is a production problem, and changing schedulers does not touch it.

What is the best SocialPilot alternative?

It depends which of those walls you hit. Here is the shortlist, with prices we read off each vendor's own site.

  • Your clients are large. Sendible prices by client workspace at 6 profiles each, from $35 Core to $299 Elite, with unlimited users on every tier including the cheapest. Cloud Campaign starts at $49 with approvals on every plan and unlimited accounts per client from its $199 Team tier.
  • You need a free tier or you run a handful of accounts. Publer keeps a permanent free plan for 3 accounts and charges about $4 an account after that, with extra teammates at $2. Buffer charges $5 a channel and also has a real free plan.
  • You want unlimited everything at a flat price. ContentStudio Agency Unlimited is $139 a month, or $99 billed yearly, for unlimited accounts, workspaces and users. Add $50 for a white label and it is still cheaper than SocialPilot Ultimate.
  • You need a branded platform, not branded reports. Vista Social Scale at $349 includes white label reports and dashboard. Our white label pricing comparison shows most agencies only ever needed the reports, which SocialPilot sells at $100.
  • You need deep listening and enterprise reporting. Sprout Social is the deep end of the category and priced per seat accordingly.
  • The queue keeps running dry. Adapter.to turns one blog post, video, podcast or URL into channel-native posts for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, email and newsletters, and you keep SocialPilot to publish them.

SocialPilot vs Sendible, Cloud Campaign, Publer and Buffer on price

Same workload on each: one agency, ten clients, four staff logins. Prices are monthly list rates read off each vendor's own pricing page between September 5 and September 26, 2026.

At four accounts per client (40 accounts), SocialPilot is $160, Sendible $274, Cloud Campaign $344 and Buffer about $400. At eight accounts per client (80 accounts), SocialPilot is $320, Sendible $299, Cloud Campaign still $344 and Buffer about $800. SocialPilot wins the small-client column by a wide margin and loses its lead as clients get bigger, because it is the only one of the three agency tools whose bill keeps growing with every account.

That gives you a rule without a spreadsheet. Count the social accounts on your average client. Under seven, SocialPilot is the cheapest serious agency tool here. Over nine, a workspace-priced tool is cheaper and stops getting more expensive. In between, let features decide. The full costing, with every vendor, is on our social media management software for agencies page, and the cheapest social media scheduler comparison ranks the category by real cost per account.

SocialPilot versus Adapter.to: publishing against producing

These two barely overlap, which is why the table above carries neutral crosses on seven of our rows. SocialPilot owns everything that happens once a post exists: the queue, the calendar, approvals, the inbox and the client report. Adapter.to owns the step before that. Paste a URL, an article, a transcript or a video link and it writes each channel's version in that channel's format, then hands you the text.

Put a number on the half SocialPilot leaves to you. If turning one webinar into an X thread, a LinkedIn post, three Instagram captions, a TikTok script and a newsletter section takes a social media manager two hours, and a client gets two of those a week, that is about 16 hours a month per client before a single post is scheduled. SocialPilot Premium at $100 does not shorten that. Adapter.to Pro at $59 covers 120 source pieces a month, enough for a small agency's whole roster.

Can you use SocialPilot and Adapter.to together?

Yes, and for most agencies that is the sensible setup rather than a switch. If your clients are small, SocialPilot is probably already the cheapest scheduler you could run, so replacing it saves nothing. Write the posts in Adapter.to, paste or CSV-upload them into SocialPilot, send them to the client approval link, and let the queue publish.

Nothing needs integrating, because Adapter.to returns plain text and SocialPilot accepts pasted copy and CSV bulk uploads on every plan. Agencies running this for a roster usually start from content repurposing for agencies, and the Adapter.to pricing page shows which plan fits the number of source pieces you produce.

Why creators pick Adapter.to

One tool that adapts any source to every channel

Fills the queue, not just the calendar

SocialPilot distributes what you already wrote. Adapter.to writes what goes in, from a blog post, video, podcast or URL, in each channel's native format.

Keep SocialPilot if your clients are small

At $4 an account and four accounts per client, it is the cheapest agency scheduler we have priced. Add production instead of replacing it.

Switch schedulers if your clients are large

Past about eight accounts per client, a workspace-priced tool like Sendible or Cloud Campaign is cheaper and stops climbing.

Good questions

SocialPilot vs Adapter.to, answered

It is if what you actually needed was the content, not the scheduling. SocialPilot publishes, approves and reports on posts you already have. Adapter.to writes those posts from a blog post, video, podcast or URL, starting at $29 a month. Most agencies keep SocialPilot and add Adapter.to in front of it.
Read off socialpilot.co in September 2026: $30 Essentials, $50 Standard, $100 Premium and $200 Ultimate a month, or $25.50, $42.50, $85 and $170 a month billed yearly. They include 7, 15, 25 and 50 accounts. Extra accounts are $4 a month and extra users $5 on Standard and Premium. The SocialPilot pricing breakdown has the per-account math.
No. SocialPilot offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, and no permanent free plan. If a free tier is a requirement, Publer and Buffer both keep one, capped at a few accounts.
For a few accounts, Publer and Buffer, which both have free plans and charge about $4 to $5 an account after that. For an agency with large clients, Sendible and Cloud Campaign become cheaper past about eight accounts per client. For small-client agencies, very little is cheaper than SocialPilot itself.
For many small client accounts, yes on price: ten clients with four accounts each is $160 on SocialPilot against $274 on Sendible. For large clients or big teams, Sendible wins, because it prices by workspace and includes unlimited users on every plan, including the $35 one.
Yes, from the $100 Premium plan. Client approval, white label reports, advanced analytics and bulk scheduling start there, and clients approve posts from a link without an account. The $30 and $50 plans only offer manager approval, which routes posts to your own team. Our SocialPilot review covers what agency users report after buying.
Sendible and Cloud Campaign for agencies, Buffer and Publer for budget per-account scheduling, ContentStudio for a flat unlimited tier, Vista Social for a fully branded platform, and Hootsuite and Sprout Social at the enterprise end. None of them writes the posts from your existing content.
No. Adapter.to writes the content and returns finished text; it does not connect social accounts or publish. You schedule its output in SocialPilot or any other tool, which is why the two pair rather than compete.
