The short answer

Read off vistasocial.com in September 2026, Vista Social costs $79 a month for Professional, $149 for Advanced and $349 for Scale billed monthly, or $758, $1,430 and $3,638 a year billed annually, which is $63.17, $119.17 and $303.17 a month, with a quoted Enterprise tier above. Every plan carries a 14-day free trial and no credit card is required. Two details contradict almost every article written about Vista Social pricing. There is no free plan and no $39 Standard tier on the pricing page any more, so the entry price is $79 rather than the figure still widely quoted, and roundups list Scale at $379 when the page says $349. Publishing to X is also excluded from every tier and sold as a $29 a month add-on, which raises a Professional plan by 37 percent.

How much does Vista Social cost?

Read off vistasocial.com in September 2026, Vista Social costs $79 a month for Professional, $149 for Advanced and $349 for Scale when billed monthly, with a quoted Enterprise tier above. Billed yearly those are charged as $758, $1,430 and $3,638 up front, which works out at $63.17, $119.17 and $303.17 a month. The plan cards round those up and show $64, $120 and $304. Every plan carries a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.

Two things about that paragraph will not match what you read elsewhere, and both are worth checking before you budget. There is no free plan and no $39 tier on the pricing page today, so the entry price is $79 rather than the figure most comparison articles still quote. And publishing to X is not included in any plan at any price; it is a $29 a month add-on on top of whatever tier you pick.

Filling in what the columns above compress: Professional carries 10,000 DM contacts, saved replies, standard reports and review monitoring limited to Facebook and Google Business. Advanced raises DM contacts to 25,000, adds country targeting, a shared calendar for 10 people, lead collection inside DM automations, review monitoring for Yelp, TripAdvisor, Trustpilot, OpenTable and both app stores, and the Zapier, Slack and Make.com integrations. Ask Vista, the built-in AI assistant, and MCP access now come with every tier including Professional; in July 2026 MCP still started at Advanced. Scale raises DM contacts to 100,000, extends the shared calendar to 25 people, and adds website and Zendesk sync plus document upload for AI training. Enterprise adds premium analytics with benchmarking, custom integrations, data migration and quarterly reviews.

Add-ons sit on top of every tier and are priced separately: X publishing, boosting, automations and analytics at $29 a month, listening across social, web and news at $75 a month, and employee advocacy at $199 a month for 25 employees. Listening limited to your own profiles is included at no charge, as is a 3-advocate trial of the advocacy product. Vista Social connects 13 networks in total: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat, Tumblr, Threads, Bluesky and Google Business.

Does Vista Social have a free plan?

Not on the pricing page in August 2026. The page lists four tiers, the cheapest being Professional at $79 a month, and offers a 14-day free trial on each with no credit card required. Nothing on it describes a permanent free tier.

This is the single most out-of-date claim in circulation about Vista Social, and it is nearly universal. Search for Vista Social pricing and you will find current-dated articles describing a free plan with 3 social profiles and 1 user, a Standard plan at $39 a month, and an Enterprise tier at $379. None of those three appear on the vendor's own page now. The practical consequence is real money: someone planning around a $39 entry point is off by more than double, and someone planning around a free tier has no free tier at all after 14 days.

The same staleness affects the top of the range. Roundups repeatedly list Scale at $379 a month. The pricing page says $349. That is a $360 a year difference on a plan people quote confidently.

Where the free-plan story survives is the trial and the listening product. The 14-day trial genuinely needs no card, which is more generous than most of this category, and listening to your own profiles is free rather than trial-limited. Both are real. Neither is a free plan.

What does Vista Social cost per social profile?

Vista Social prices by profile count and user seats together, so the useful comparison is cost per profile per month at the annual rate. The result is not the straight line you would expect.

PlanAnnual rate per monthProfilesCost per profileUsers
Professional$63.1715$4.212
Advanced$119.1730$3.974
Scale$303.1770$4.338

Advanced is the cheapest plan per profile, and Scale is more expensive per profile than the tier below it. The "Most Popular" badge Vista Social puts on Advanced is, unusually for a pricing page, the mathematically correct recommendation. You move to Scale for the white label dashboard, client self-connection and the 8 seats, not for a better rate per account.

The annual discount has a similar wrinkle. Vista Social advertises 20 percent off for yearly billing, and that is exactly right on the two lower tiers: Professional falls from $948 to $758, a saving of $190, and Advanced from $1,788 to $1,430, a saving of $358. Both are 20.0 percent. Scale falls from $4,188 to $3,638, a saving of $550, which is 13.1 percent. If you are committing a year of budget to the top published tier, the discount is roughly a third smaller than the banner implies. Worth raising with sales rather than assuming.

Why does X cost extra on Vista Social?

Because X charges platforms for API access, and Vista Social passes that through as a $29 a month add-on covering publishing, boosting, automations and analytics. X appears in the list of 13 supported networks, so it is easy to assume it is included. It is not, on any tier, including Enterprise pricing conversations.

Size that against the plan you are on. On Professional at $79 a month, adding X takes the bill to $108, a 37 percent increase for one network. On the annual rate of $63.17 it is closer to a 46 percent increase. This is the same charge Metricool introduced in July 2026, except Metricool asks $10 a month per connected X account and Vista Social asks $29 for the integration. Which is cheaper depends on how many X accounts you run: at one account Metricool wins clearly, and by three accounts the two are close.

If X is not part of your distribution, ignore the add-on entirely and the headline prices stand as listed. If X is central, add $348 a year to every Vista Social quote you compare against anything else.

What does Vista Social actually cost for a real setup?

Count profiles and seats first, then check whether X or listening pushes you past the headline. These use the annual rate.

A solo creator on five networks. Professional at $63.17 a month, or $758 a year, and you are paying for 15 profiles while using 5. There is no smaller plan to drop to now that the $39 tier is gone, which is exactly why the removal of that tier matters to this buyer more than to anyone else. Effective cost per profile actually used is $12.63, not $4.21.

A two-person in-house team running one brand properly. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest and Google Business is 8 profiles, comfortably inside Professional, and 2 users is exactly the seat allowance. $758 a year, or $1,106 with the X add-on. This is the setup Professional is priced for and it is fair value.

An agency with 10 clients on 3 networks each. That is 30 profiles, which fits Advanced exactly with no headroom, and 4 seats. $1,430 a year. The catch is the exactness: an eleventh client puts you over 30 profiles and the only way up is Scale at $3,638, a jump of $2,208 a year for one client. Agencies near the boundary should model the eleventh client before signing an annual term.

An agency with 20 clients wanting white label reports. Scale at $303.17 a month, or $3,638 a year, for 70 profiles, 8 seats, the white label dashboard and client self-connection. At 60 profiles used that is $5.05 per profile, and the white label reporting is the actual reason to be here.

A brand that also wants real listening. Add $75 a month, or $900 a year, to any of the above. Professional plus listening is $1,658 a year, which is more than Advanced without it. Listening is a genuinely separate product priced like one, so if monitoring what people say about you is the main job rather than publishing, it is worth pricing standalone tools that track a brand across the web, news and social against a scheduler add-on before bundling the two.

Is Vista Social worth it in 2026?

On features per dollar it remains one of the stronger buys in social media management, and the network coverage is the reason. Thirteen networks including Reddit, Tumblr, Bluesky, Threads and Snapchat is broader than Hootsuite or Sprout Social offer, and the review management on Advanced covering Yelp, TripAdvisor, Trustpilot and both app stores is unusual at $149 a month. White label on Scale at $349 undercuts what agencies pay elsewhere for the same capability.

The argument against is narrower than it used to be, and it is mostly about the bottom of the range. Vista Social built its reputation as the cheap, capable option, and a lot of that reputation rests on a $39 tier and a free plan that are no longer on the page. At $79 as an entry point it competes with a different set of tools than it did, and a solo creator on five profiles is now paying suite prices for a suite they will not use. Buffer and Metricool both still keep permanent free plans, which is the honest answer for anyone who arrived here because they read that Vista Social had one.

The other thing worth saying plainly: none of the tiers write your posts. Vista Social has AI credits, 1,000 a month on Professional, and they power caption generation, DM automation replies and the AI training and knowledge features. That helps you polish and automate. It does not fill a calendar.

What Vista Social does not do

Vista Social is a distribution and engagement layer. It schedules, publishes, routes messages, monitors reviews and reports. Every one of those jobs assumes the content already exists, and producing that content is where most teams actually run out of hours.

Put a number on it. If turning one blog post, video or podcast into a LinkedIn post, an X thread, an Instagram caption, a Facebook post and an email takes two to three hours by hand, and you publish four sources a month, that is roughly ten hours of writing a month. At a marketer's loaded hourly cost that comfortably exceeds a year of Professional. The subscription shows up on the invoice every month. The writing never does, and it is the larger number.

That upstream job is what Adapter.to does. Paste a blog post, a YouTube video, a podcast, a newsletter or any URL and it writes the native version for every channel, then hands you the text to schedule in Vista Social or anywhere else. Nothing needs integrating, because it returns plain text and the Vista Social composer accepts pasted copy. The AI content repurposing tool page shows what one source turns into, content repurposing for agencies covers the multi-client version of the workflow, and the Vista Social alternative comparison sets the two side by side feature for feature.

Vista Social pricing compared with the alternatives

The comparison only works once you match the pricing unit, because no two tools in this category count the same thing. Vista Social charges by profile count with seats bundled in. Agorapulse charges per user seat and caps every named tier at 10 profiles. Buffer charges per channel. Later charges per social set, which holds only one profile per platform. Metricool charges per brand on a sliding scale. Hootsuite and Sprout Social charge per seat.

Against that field Vista Social is strong on accounts and weak on entry price. Thirty profiles for $119.17 a month on Advanced is cheaper per account than almost anything comparable, and Hootsuite at $99 per user per month gives you one seat and unlimited profiles only on higher tiers. But Buffer starts free and Metricool starts free, so at the small end Vista Social no longer competes at all. Its sweet spot is now the agency or multi-brand team with 15 to 70 profiles, which is precisely where the per-profile arithmetic above favours Advanced.

Verified current pricing for every tool in the category sits side by side on the content repurposing tools comparison, and if what you ran out of was posts rather than places to put them, the URL to social media posts page shows the upstream half of the stack.
