Is Agorapulse worth it?

Yes, for a team of two to five people that answers a lot of comments and messages and needs approvals and client reports. Its inbox and ad comment moderation are among the best in the category, and Capterra reviewers rate it 4.6 out of 5 from 713 reviews, with customer service at 4.7. It is a weaker buy for a solo creator who mainly schedules posts, and for an agency that adds people faster than clients, because every price is per user.

We read Agorapulse's pricing page, its full plan chart and the page for its new Archie writer on October 12, 2026, then went through its reviews on Capterra and Trustpilot. Below is the bill you will actually get, what reviewers praise and complain about, and where a cheaper tool does the same job.

How much does Agorapulse cost per month?

Agorapulse costs $79, $119 or $149 per user per month on annual billing, and $99, $149 or $199 per user on monthly billing. Every named plan includes 10 social profiles, and extra profiles cost $10 a month each on annual billing or $15 on monthly. The Custom plan is quoted and is the only one with unlimited profiles.

PlanAnnual billing, per userMonthly billing, per userSocial profilesAnnual saving
Standard$79$991020.2%
Professional$119$1491020.1%
Advanced$149$1991025.1%

Standard covers unlimited scheduling, the all-in-one inbox for comments, DMs and reviews, basic reports and branded report exports. Professional adds the link in bio page, Instagram product tagging, ad comment moderation, post and inbox assignments and team performance reports. Advanced adds labels, saved replies, bulk inbox actions, shared calendars, ads reporting, ROI analysis and competitor benchmarking, and keeps 24 months of data against 6 on Standard and 12 on Professional. Custom adds SSO, custom roles, multi-step approvals, AI reply suggestions and a dedicated success manager.

The page's own toggle says annual billing saves "up to 20%". On Advanced it saves 25.1%, so the badge undersells the top plan. The trial runs 30 days with no card, which is the longest in this category, and Agorapulse's FAQ says you can stay on a free plan once it ends. Advanced Listening, Advocacy, Competitive Benchmarking and the X Lite and X Plus packages are add-ons sold through sales, with no published price.

What Agorapulse really costs a team

Because you pay per user and the profile allowance does not grow with the plan, the sticker price is the smallest number you will see. These are real setups priced from the October 2026 page, extra profiles included.

SetupPlanAnnual billing, per monthMonthly billing
1 user, 10 profilesStandard$79$99
3 users, 10 profilesStandard$237$297
3 users, 20 profiles, ad comment moderationProfessional$457$597
5 users, 25 profiles, ROI and ads reportingAdvanced$895$1,220

The pattern is that the first person is cheap and each one after that costs as much as the first. A report viewer who only reads dashboards still takes a full seat, so count logins carefully before you choose a plan. If your team grows faster than your account list, a per-workspace tool such as Sendible, with unlimited users from $35, will stay cheaper for longer. Our Agorapulse alternative page works through that seat math against Hootsuite, Metricool and Buffer.

What do reviewers like about Agorapulse?

Three things come up again and again. The first is the inbox: comments, DMs and reviews from every network in one queue that a team can assign, label and clear, with collision detection so two people do not answer the same customer. The second is support, which is rated 4.7 on Capterra, higher than ease of use at 4.6, and Agorapulse quotes first responses under six hours on Standard and under an hour on Advanced. The third is approvals, which junior staff and agency clients find easy to use. Trustpilot rates it "Great" at 4 out of 5, and the long-term users there are mostly agencies that have been on it for years.

What do reviewers complain about?

Reporting is the most common complaint. Several reviewers say useful analytics are missing or that some report formats are awkward, which matters because the deeper reports sit on Advanced, the most expensive per-seat plan. Keyword monitoring gets described as patchy, and some older reviews say the AI features lag behind competitors. The pricing model draws criticism from agencies once the team passes three or four people, and at least one reviewer describes billing continuing while a reporting problem was unresolved. None of these is unusual for the category, but they all point at the same question: are you buying Agorapulse for the inbox, or for the reports?

What is Agorapulse Archie?

Archie is Agorapulse's AI content repurposing tool. You upload a webinar, article, PDF, video or audio file, and Archie pulls out the ideas worth sharing and writes platform-native posts, guided by a Playbook that stores your audience, goals and brand voice. It can also find your best posts from the last 12 months and rewrite them in new formats, and it schedules straight into the Agorapulse composer. Agorapulse says Archie is free during beta and that paid plans will be introduced later, with pricing published on its site.

That is a real answer to the problem most social calendars have, and it is the right thing for Agorapulse to build. The honest caveat is the budget. You cannot price a tool for a year when its vendor has said it will start charging and has not said how much. If you need a repurposing writer at a fixed price today, Adapter.to's AI content repurposing tool turns a blog post, video, podcast or URL into posts for 8 formats, including newsletter, email, YouTube description and ad copy, for $49 a month for 30 sources. It does not schedule, so the output goes into Agorapulse, or any other scheduler, the same way Archie's does.

Agorapulse vs Hootsuite vs Sprout Social vs Statusbrew

These are the inbox-first suites most often compared with Agorapulse. Prices are for three users and 10 social profiles on annual billing, each read off the vendor's own pricing page between October 2 and October 12, 2026.

ToolPlan for 3 users and 10 profilesCost per month, billed yearlyPricing unit
AgorapulseStandard$237Per user
HootsuiteStandard$297Per user
Sprout SocialProfessional (Standard stops at 5 profiles)$897Per user
StatusbrewStandard$129Per plan, 3 users included
SendiblePlus$84.15Per workspace, unlimited users

Agorapulse is the cheapest of the three per-seat suites at this size, and Hootsuite costs $60 a month more for the same team. Statusbrew undercuts it by more than $100 with three users included and a similar inbox and comment rules, which is why we built a Statusbrew pricing and alternative page next to this one. Sprout Social is the deepest on reporting and listening and costs nearly four times as much here, as our Sprout Social review shows.

One gap none of them fills well is competitors' paid creative. Agorapulse's Competitive Benchmarking compares organic posts, engagement and audience growth. If what you need is the ads your rivals are actually running on Meta and Google, a dedicated competitor ad spy tool shows the live creative that social benchmarking never sees.

Who should buy Agorapulse?

Buy it if you are an in-house team or a small agency with two to five people, a busy inbox, paid social with comments to moderate, and clients or managers who need approvals and branded reports. Professional at $119 a seat is the plan most of those teams end up on, because ad comment moderation and inbox assignments start there.

Look elsewhere if you are a solo creator who mostly schedules, where Buffer or Sendible cost a fraction of the price, or an agency whose headcount grows faster than its client list, where per-workspace pricing wins. And if your inbox is fine and your problem is an empty calendar, keep whatever scheduler you have and add a writer. Adapter.to turns each article, webinar recording or podcast into a week of channel-native posts; the content repurposing for agencies page shows how that fits a multi-client workflow.

Frequently asked questions

Is Agorapulse free?

Agorapulse has a 30-day free trial with no credit card, and its FAQ says you can keep using a free plan after the trial with no automatic charges. The paid plans, from $79 per user a month on annual billing, are where the full inbox, reports and 10 profiles come in.

Is Agorapulse legit?

Yes. Agorapulse is an established social media management company that has operated for more than a decade, connects to networks through their official APIs, and holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications. It is rated 4.6 out of 5 from 713 reviews on Capterra.

Is Agorapulse better than Hootsuite?

For a team built around conversations, usually yes. Agorapulse is cheaper per seat at $79 against $99 on annual billing, its trial is longer, and its inbox and ad comment moderation are stronger. Hootsuite includes unlimited profiles from Professional and has a wider app library, so it can win when you manage many accounts.

How many social profiles does Agorapulse include?

Ten on Standard, Professional and Advanced alike. Moving up a plan buys features, not accounts. Extra profiles cost $10 a month each on annual billing or $15 on monthly, and only the quoted Custom plan includes unlimited profiles.

Does Agorapulse write posts for you?

Its composer has an AI writing assistant for captions, and its separate Archie tool turns webinars, articles and videos into posts. Archie is free during beta and has no published price yet. Adapter.to does the same writing job at a fixed $49 a month and hands you the text to schedule in Agorapulse.
