A Loomly pricing review for small teams and agencies: Starter $49 and Beyond $249 a month billed yearly, the missing middle plan, the January 2026 lineup change, 4.7 on Capterra, 3.8 on Trustpilot, and who should buy something else.

The short answer
Loomly is worth it for small teams and single brands that fit inside 12 social accounts and 3 users. Read off loomly.com on September 30, 2026, Starter costs $49 a month billed yearly ($588 a year) or $65 monthly, and Beyond costs $249 a month billed yearly ($2,988) or $332 monthly for 60 accounts and unlimited users, with Enterprise quoted above that. There is no plan in between, so a thirteenth account or a fourth user moves you from $49 to $249. Yearly plans cannot be ended early, nonprofits get 50 percent off for life, and the lineup changed in January 2026. Loomly rates 4.7 out of 5 from 509 reviews on Capterra and holds a 3.8 TrustScore from 109 reviews on Trustpilot.

Is Loomly worth it?
Loomly is worth it for small marketing teams and single-brand businesses that fit inside 12 social accounts and 3 users, because at $49 a month billed yearly it gives them a clean calendar, approval workflows and advanced analytics for less than most per-seat suites. It is a poor buy for anyone near either limit: the only step up is Beyond at $249 a month billed yearly, roughly five times the price. It rates 4.7 out of 5 on Capterra and holds a 3.8 TrustScore on Trustpilot, where most one-star reviews are about price increases.

Loomly pricing at a glance
Loomly publishes two paid plans and a quoted Enterprise tier. Yearly billing is charged upfront and takes 25 percent off.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Social accounts | Users |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $65 a month | $49 a month ($588 a year) | 12 | 3 |
| Beyond | $332 a month | $249 a month ($2,988 a year) | 60 | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | Quoted | Quoted | 61 and up | Unlimited |
Both paid plans include unlimited calendars, unlimited scheduling, the AI Assistant chat, post generation, approval workflows and custom roles, advanced analytics, bulk posting, link shorteners, Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations, Zapier and the mobile apps. Beyond adds custom branding (a branded subdomain, favicon and logo), scheduled reports, calendar-level two-factor enforcement, more AI usage and 5 social listening searches a month instead of 2. There is a free trial with no credit card required, and there is no permanent free plan on the pricing page.
How much does Loomly cost per month?
Loomly costs $49 a month on the Starter plan billed yearly, or $65 billed month to month, for 12 social accounts and 3 users. The Beyond plan costs $249 a month billed yearly or $332 monthly for 60 accounts and unlimited users. Enterprise, above 60 accounts, is priced by quote. Sales tax is added based on your billing address.
At full use, the two plans cost almost exactly the same per account: Starter works out to $4.08 an account on yearly billing and Beyond to $4.15. The problem is the gap between them. Needing a thirteenth account or a fourth user moves you from $49 to $249 a month, and at 13 accounts that is $19.15 per account, more than four times the Starter rate. There is no add-on for a single extra seat or account on the pricing page, so the upgrade is the only route.
Two more details change the real cost. Yearly plans are a 12-month commitment that Loomly says you cannot terminate early, so the yearly price only makes sense if you are sure of your team size for the year. On the other side, nonprofits get a 50 percent lifetime discount with a copy of their determination letter, which puts Starter at $24.50 a month billed yearly and makes Loomly one of the cheaper approval-capable tools for a US 501(c)(3).
When did Loomly change its pricing?
Loomly moved to the current Starter and Beyond lineup in January 2026. Snapshots of loomly.com/pricing in the Internet Archive show the older lineup on January 12, 2026, and Starter and Beyond by January 30. Many comparison articles still describe the earlier plans and quote an entry price in the twenties or thirties; none of those plans can be bought today.
The change explains the tone of recent reviews. One Capterra reviewer reports their yearly price rising from about $300 to $2,988 with roughly 30 days of notice. $2,988 is exactly the yearly price of Beyond, which suggests a customer on an old small plan who needed more than Starter allows and was moved to the only tier above it.
What do Loomly reviews say?
The product reviews well. The billing does not, and the two sites split along that line.
| Source | Rating | Reviews | What stands out |
|---|---|---|---|
| Capterra | 4.7 / 5 | 509 | Ease of use 4.6, customer service 4.7, value for money 4.6, features 4.4 |
| Trustpilot | 3.8 TrustScore | 109 | 52 percent five-star, 32 percent one-star |
The praise is consistent. Reviewers describe a clean interface that new teammates learn quickly, a calendar view that makes a month of posts easy to see at once, analytics for every network in one place instead of one login per page, and approvals that work across time zones. Capterra reviewers rate value for money at 4.6, which is high for the category.
The criticism clusters in three places. The biggest is pricing: Trustpilot reviewers describe increases of 315 percent and more and urge others to switch, which is why a third of its Trustpilot reviews are one-star. The second is publishing gaps, such as inconsistent tagging on LinkedIn and X, no links in Stories, and no mixed image and video uploads in one post. The third is support speed when something breaks, which is praised on Capterra and criticized on Trustpilot.
Loomly pros and cons
Pros
- Approval workflows and custom roles on the entry plan, where many tools reserve them for a higher tier.
- Unlimited calendars on both plans, useful for keeping brands or campaigns apart.
- Low cost per account when you fill a plan: about $4 on either tier billed yearly.
- A 50 percent lifetime nonprofit discount, one of the largest in the category.
- Free trial without a credit card.
Cons
- No middle plan. The thirteenth account or the fourth user costs $200 more a month billed yearly.
- Yearly plans cannot be ended early, so a wrong guess on team size is locked in for 12 months.
- Price increases for existing customers are the most common one-star complaint.
- Branded client reports and scheduled reports only on Beyond.
- Its AI drafts posts from a prompt; it does not turn your existing articles, videos or podcasts into posts.
Is Loomly good for small business?
Yes, if the business is one brand with up to 3 people touching social media. Twelve accounts cover every mainstream network for a single brand with room to spare, and $49 a month billed yearly buys approvals and analytics that a solo scheduler does not have. It is a weaker fit for a small agency: three client brands on four networks each already fill Starter, and the fourth client, or a fourth freelancer, lands you on Beyond.
What Loomly costs against the alternatives
Two workloads, monthly list prices read off each vendor's own pricing page in September 2026.
Small team, 12 accounts, 3 people. Loomly Starter $65. SocialPilot Standard $50 for 15 accounts and 3 users. Metricool Advanced $67 for 15 brands with unlimited users. Sendible Plus $99 for 18 profiles with unlimited users. Loomly is competitive here, and its approval workflow is a real reason to pick it.
Growing team or small agency, 20 accounts, 5 people. Loomly Beyond $332. SocialPilot Premium $100 for 25 accounts and 6 users, with client approval and white label reports. Metricool Advanced $107 for 25 brands with unlimited users. This is where Loomly's missing middle plan costs the most: roughly three times the nearest alternatives. Our cheapest social media scheduler comparison runs more tools through the same arithmetic.
If you are on a yearly plan now, put the renewal date in whatever contract management software or calendar your team already uses for SaaS commitments, at least 30 days out. The Capterra reviewer quoted above had about 30 days of notice before the new price applied.
What Loomly does not do
Loomly plans, approves, publishes and measures posts. It does not produce them from the work you already have. Its AI Assistant and post generation start from a topic you type, so you get a post about your subject rather than the LinkedIn post, the X thread and the Instagram captions that come out of the article you published on Monday or the podcast you recorded on Tuesday.
That missing step is usually why a Loomly calendar has gaps. Turning one blog post, video or podcast into a week of channel-native posts takes two to three hours by hand, and that is the job Adapter.to does. Paste a source or a URL into the tool at the top of this page and it writes the posts for every channel, ready to drop into Loomly for approval and scheduling. Plans start at $29 a month. The Loomly alternative page compares the two side by side, and repurpose content for social media shows the workflow.
Who should buy Loomly?
Buy it if you are one brand or a small in-house team that will stay inside 12 accounts and 3 users for the next year, you need approvals before anything goes out, or you are a nonprofit that qualifies for the 50 percent discount.
Buy something else if you are anywhere near 12 accounts or 3 users, if you are an agency that will add clients during the year, or if you have been burned by a SaaS price increase and want a vendor with a clearer upgrade path. And if the calendar is empty because nobody has time to write the posts, a different scheduler will not fill it; the content repurposing tools comparison covers the tools that do.
