The short answer

Publer is worth it for solo creators, small businesses and small agencies that want a low-cost scheduler priced by the social account. Read off publer.com on September 28, 2026, Professional costs $5 for a single account and $4 each once you connect three or more ($12 a month for three), and Business costs $10 for one account and $7 each from three. Yearly billing is exactly 20 percent off and every tenth account is free on yearly plans. It rates 4.8 out of 5 from 974 reviews on Capterra and 4.9 from 1,031 on Trustpilot. Agencies that sell branded reports usually pay less on SocialPilot, since Publer keeps analytics on Business and has no white label reports.

Is Publer worth it?

Publer is worth it for solo creators, small businesses and small agencies that want a cheap, capable scheduler priced by the social account. Three accounts cost $12 a month on Professional, reviewers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Capterra and 4.9 on Trustpilot, and it publishes to more networks than most tools at its price. It is a weaker buy for agencies with many accounts that need client reports, because analytics sit on the Business plan at $7 an account.

We read every price in this review off publer.com on September 28, 2026, and the ratings off Capterra and Trustpilot the same day. The prices match what we recorded in August 2026, so nothing has moved since our full Publer pricing breakdown.

Publer pricing at a glance

Publer has no fixed tiers. You pick a plan, then pay for each connected social account, with a small discount ladder as you add more.

PlanPer account, monthlyPer account, yearlyExtra teammateTrial
Free$0, 3 accounts$0None, 1 userNot needed
Professional$5 for 1, $4 each at 3+$4 for 1, $3.20 each at 3+$2 a month7 days
Business$10 for 1, $7 each at 3+$8 for 1, $5.60 each at 3+$3 a month14 days
EnterpriseQuoted, billed yearlyQuotedOn request

With exactly two accounts the rate is $4.50 each on Professional and $8.50 each on Business. Yearly billing is exactly 20 percent off, even though the toggle only promises "2 months free", and on yearly plans every tenth account and every tenth extra teammate is free. There is a 14-day money-back guarantee and VAT, where it applies, is added on top.

What do Publer reviews say?

Ratings are high on both sites and the complaints are narrow.

SourceRatingReviewsWhat stands out
Capterra4.8 / 5974Ease of use 4.8, customer service 4.7
Trustpilot4.9 TrustScore1,03190 percent five-star, 8 percent four-star, under 1 percent one-star

The praise repeats across both sites: bulk scheduling that actually saves time, a clean interface, post previews per network, recycling of evergreen posts, and a support team that answers. People who came from Hootsuite or Buffer mention paying a fraction of what they paid before for the same publishing work.

The criticism on Capterra clusters around four things. The price climbs as you connect more accounts or step up to Business. Analytics are thinner than dedicated reporting tools, especially for Facebook reach. The calendar makes you switch month by month rather than scroll. And the mobile app feels cluttered next to the desktop version. A smaller number of reviewers mention slow billing support. None of these are dealbreakers for a solo user, and the first two matter a lot for an agency.

What are the pros and cons of Publer?

Pros. Low price per account ($4 on Professional from the third account). Thirteen networks, including Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile and WordPress. Unlimited scheduling, drafts, workspaces, media storage and RSS automations on Professional. A permanent free plan to test the workflow. API and MCP access included on Business with no separate API fee.

Cons. Analytics, best times to post, competitor analysis, hashtag analytics and recycling with spintax are all Business-only, which doubles the per-account rate. Daily posting caps per profile apply below Enterprise (for example 20 Instagram posts and reels a day on Professional, 25 on Business). No white label reports. The free plan cannot connect X at all. And it writes nothing from your existing content; the AI assistant drafts captions from prompts, and unlimited AI prompts are a Business feature.

Is Publer good for agencies?

For small agencies, yes on price. For agencies that sell reporting, it gets expensive fast. Take ten clients with four accounts each and three teammates besides the owner:

  • Publer Business, monthly: 40 accounts at $7 plus 3 teammates at $3 is $289 a month.
  • Publer Business, yearly: 36 billable accounts (every tenth is free) at $5.60 plus teammates is about $209 a month.
  • Publer Professional, monthly: $166 a month, but without analytics or reports, which most agencies bill for.
  • SocialPilot Premium: $160 a month for the same 40 accounts, with 6 users, client approval and white label reports. Our SocialPilot review covers the catches.

The pattern holds at other sizes: Publer is cheapest when you need publishing and not much else, and it loses to agency-first tools once branded reporting is part of what you sell. Our social media management software for agencies comparison runs the same roster through every major tool.

Publer Professional vs Business, which plan do you need?

Professional covers publishing: unlimited scheduling, first comments and threads, unlimited workspaces, RSS automations, permanent post history and X. Business adds everything you would use to prove results or scale content: analytics and reports, best times to post, competitor analysis, hashtag suggestions, spintax recycling, unlimited AI prompts, and the API and MCP server.

The rule is simple. If nobody asks you for a monthly report and you write your own captions, Professional is enough and costs about half. If you report to a client or a manager, or you want the API, you need Business. At three accounts that is $12 against $21 a month.

Is Publer's free plan enough for a business?

Only to try the workflow. The free plan allows 1 user, 1 workspace and 3 social accounts, but only 10 scheduled posts per account at a time, 25 saved drafts, 24 hours of post history, and no X. A business posting daily fills that queue in about ten days. The 7-day Professional trial and 14-day Business trial are the better test, because they show you the plan you would actually pay for.

Can I get a refund from Publer?

Yes, within 14 days. Publer's pricing page states a 14-day money-back guarantee. Outside that window, cancelling from Settings, then Billing, stops the next renewal and you keep the paid plan until the end of the period you already paid for. On a yearly plan that means deciding within two weeks, so run the trial first.

Is Publer cheaper than Buffer?

Yes, at almost every size, and the gap widens once a second person needs a login. Buffer charges $5 a channel a month on Essentials and $10 a channel on Team, which is the plan you need for more than one user. Five accounts for one person cost $20 on Publer Professional and $25 on Buffer Essentials. Add one teammate and Publer is $22 while Buffer moves to Team at $50. Buffer's advantage is a simpler interface that many beginners prefer. Our Buffer alternative page has the full comparison.

What Publer does not do

Publer schedules, recycles and reports. It does not produce the posts. Its RSS automation can share a link to every new blog post, and its WordPress integration can even publish to your site, but a link post is not a LinkedIn post, an X thread or an Instagram caption, and the article still has to be written in the first place. Teams that want the blog itself kept full often pair a scheduler with an AI SEO agent that writes the blog posts on autopilot.

The slow part for most Publer users is the step in between: turning one blog post, video or podcast into a week of channel-native posts takes two to three hours by hand. That is the job Adapter.to does. Paste a source or a URL into the tool at the top of this page and it writes the LinkedIn post, the X thread, the Instagram caption, the TikTok script and the email, ready to paste into Publer's composer or bulk scheduler. Plans start at $29 a month. The Publer alternative page compares the two side by side, and blog to social media shows the workflow for writers.

Who should buy Publer?

Buy it if you publish to a handful of accounts across many networks, you want the lowest price per account in the category, and you do not sell reports. It is one of the best-reviewed schedulers available and the free plan lets you test it without a card.

Look elsewhere if you run an agency whose clients expect branded reports (SocialPilot is cheaper for that), if you manage ten or more accounts and want automation at a flat price (see our FeedHive alternative comparison, where Brand covers 10 accounts for $29), or if you want a shared inbox and review management (our Vista Social review covers that end). For the cheapest options by account count, see the cheapest social media scheduler comparison.
